Senior Portrait Photography
We make portraits not pictures -Graduating from high school is one of the biggest milestones in your life. We believe your Senior Portraits should reflect this landmark. We know the biggest difference between a portrait and a picture is in the details. A professional portrait is three dimensional, has highlights, shadow detail, and separation from the background. A picture will have flat lighting on the subject caused by using a flash on a camera only, or flat available lighting on both the subject and background.
"Quality" vs "Quantity" - We know the difference between quality of light, specular light, and light ratios. For outdoor photography we know when, and more importantly how to use available light, multiple flash strobes, or a combination of the two. Indoors we use 5 or 6 lights to achieve the highlights and shadows necessary in our portraits.
"Looking Your Very Best" vs "Saving a Dollar" - Proper posing, lighting, and camera angles can make a person look thinner or taller. It can make a crooked nose look straighter, and make a lazy eye appear more open. The wrong pose, light, or camera angle will have the opposite effect. We know the difference between masculine and feminine poses in portrait photography, and how to do these poses properly. These are just a few of the techniques we apply to all our portraits. We also include basic retouching on every portrait. This retouching can include; softening the skin, removing blemishes, blending red blotchy skin, removing skin shine, and removing stray hairs. Additional charges for extensive retouching is an option, the price will depend on the amount of work required.
